OTE approx. 50 - 52K.               Company Vehicle + ½ day finish on a Friday.Growing as a global engineering manufacturer throughout UK, Europe and US. They have established and continue to build a leading reputation for quality and reliability serving Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Chemical and High Value Industrial industries.This growth business leads a group of 4 successful brands with a combined global turnover of $140 million.We are currently searching for a Field Mechanical Engineer to join the team supporting the customer on site, providing technical direction, technical solutions needed for installation or maintenance of the designed bespoke equipment.75-85% travel covering UK, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland.Field Mechanical Engineer key skills:
  • Field or Multi Site experience.
  • Hands on approach is absolutely key.
  • Essential exposure to maintenance and mechanical installation.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment, ability to read and understand system schematics, technical drawings.
  • Willingness to collaborate with the field team in taking responsibility and supporting the testing of new and custom machinery at the Test Bay site in Darwen.
  • Strong communication required to feedback with peers development and improvements.
  • Ability to travel UK and Europe with a UK driving license.
  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ideally with some exposure from product movement or handling. (Could be from the Food/ waste recycling/ confectionery / pharmaceutical /Paint/Bakery or Building industry.)
Field Mechanical Engineer attributes:
  • The ideal Field Mechanical Engineer candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter, with an interest in manufacturing or an interest of working within a technical environment.
  • Educated to degree level with mechanical engineering or mechanical maintenance HND or degree.
  • Basic knowledge of Electronics and Electrical systems.
  • Welding, Fabrication, Rigging.
  • Ability to climb vertical ladders, and work at heights.
  • Ability to balance many tasks at the same time. Time management is key.
  • Positive attitude and manner.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationships
