Joinery Assembler

My client a well established and growing manufacturing company based in the Darwen are is looking for a still joiner or assembler experienced in working with wood. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with both hand and power tools. As an Joinery Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that components are assembled accurately and efficiently in a warehouse environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute significantly to our operational success.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products according to specifications and technical drawings.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.
• Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Report any issues or discrepancies in materials or assembly processes to supervisors.
• Assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in assembly and/or joinery work.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities within the production environment.
