CDJ Riverside Bar & kitchen are looking for a fantastic and energetic character to join our growing venture.

Having undergone a major refurbishment program, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, customer focused General Manager to join our team and deliver excellent customer service to our guests.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced GM to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant and bar. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, managing a team effectively, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness whilst working alongside two supervisors.

Due to being incredibly busy since opening, we require an individual to come on board and manager our clients experience, to ensure all customers have a brilliant time whilst drinking or dining with us.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations, including staff management, stock control, and customer service. Also work with our chef to create the best environment possible for our staff and guests.

2. Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and provide excellent service to customers.

3. Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, including pricing, promotions, and cost control.

4. Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with health and safety regulations.

5. Monitor and analyse sales and financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

6. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to develop menus, beverage offerings, and special promotions.

7. Handle customer complaints where necessary by resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

8. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate favourable terms.

9. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to remain competitive and innovative.

10. Ensure compliance with all licensing and legal requirements related to the sale of alcohol and food service.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Restaurant and Bar Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry.

2. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

3. Display warmth and approachability to staff members.

4. Strong business knowledge and understanding of financial management principles.

5. Possess a genuine passion for food and beverage operations, including an attention to detail.

6. Flexibility is key, as youll need to be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

7. A sound knowledge of cocktails and allergens.
