We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Darwen. This is a permanent, full-time position, providing the chance to teach and engage students aged 11-18 across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
About the Role:- Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons, fostering a love of literature and language.
- Plan and deliver lessons in line with the school curriculum and standards.
- Monitor and assess student progress to support achievement and development.
- Actively contribute to the school community and extracurricular activities.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Relevant teaching qualifications with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Prior experience teaching English at secondary school level (ages 11-18).
- The right to work in the UK.
- A valid, enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- A passion for English and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
