Support Worker - Childrens Mental Health 
Salary - £11.44 per hour - £14.98 per hour 
Location - Blackburn  
Hours - Permanent - Full Time or Part Time hours available
Shift Pattern - Options on days only, nights only or mixed shifts 
Shift times - 0800am - 2000pm (days) and 2000pm - 0800am (nights)

Summary
Appoint Healthcare are proud to partner with an extremely reputable leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs. Together we are looking for reliable, hardworking support workers to work in a four-bedded child and adolescent inpatient service based in Blackburn. 

As a support worker you may be required to take the children out for the day, supporting the children and their families, helping out at meal time and supporting the nurses.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Experience working in Mental Health or with Children in a similar environment. 
  • Strong team-working skills
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice 

Desirable

  • Level 3 diploma in residential childcare 
  • Previous experience as a support worker, working in mental health
