MERITUS are recruiting for a detail-oriented and experienced Hand Router Operator to work on the fabrication and finishing of composite and metal components.

The successful candidate will use hand routers and other tools to shape, trim, and finish parts, ensuring each component meets exact specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand routers, precision cutting tools, and other equipment to shape, trim, and finish composite and metal components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to accurately complete routing tasks.
  • Inspect finished parts for precision, quality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform minor adjustments and maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure consistent performance and quality.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to identify and resolve any issues with components.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skillset/experience required:

  • Previous experience as a Hand Router Operator, preferably in aerospace or a related manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in using hand routers, precision cutting tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Experience working with both composite and metal materials in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards, such as AS9100 or NADCAP.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance.
