MERITUS are recruiting for experienced Aerospace Paint Sprayer to join our clients team. You'll apply primers, topcoats, and specialty finishes to aerospace components, ensuring high-quality standards in appearance and durability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces of aerospace components by cleaning, masking, and sanding to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Mix and apply primers, paints, and coatings using spray guns and other application equipment according to technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain and operate paint spray equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly calibrated.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects, such as runs, sags, or unpainted areas, and perform touch-ups as necessary.
  • Work with quality control to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols
  • Properly disposing of hazardous materials according to regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used, processes followed, and completed work.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Skillset/experience required:

  • 2+ years of industrial painting experience (aerospace/automotive preferred).
  • Knowledge of painting processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work independently.
  • Physical ability to work in a paint booth and wear a respirator.

Desirable

  • Qualified to HNC/HND/OND/ONC or degree level in relevant subject
