About the Role:

My client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to lead and create a Group Finance Function. This is a critical role in reporting directly to the SMT and will be instrumental in driving financial performance and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record of transformation and change management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the group's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices across the finance function.
  • Manage the relationship with external auditors and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy.
  • Work closely with the private equity investors, providing timely and accurate financial information.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Financial Controller in a multi-divisional SME structure.
  • Extensive experience in leading and executing finance team and process transformations (change management).
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  • Experience managing cash flow in a private equity-backed environment.
  • Experience working with complex ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
