Butler Rose is pleased to be recruiting a fully qualified, detail-oriented, and proactive Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team at a leading logistics company based in Daventry. As part of this growing business, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing critical financial insights to support decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the financial success and continued growth of a well-established logistics business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Produce detailed financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insight and recommendations.
  • Analyse financial performance and variances, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage and improve financial processes and controls to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with department heads to provide financial support and guidance on business performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain and reconcile financial systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the business.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in management accounting.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel (advanced level).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines..
