CNC Setter / Operator Daventry07.00 – 17.15 Monday – Thursday 1pm finish on a FridaySalary DOEWe are working on behalf of a well-established production welding client in Daventry, that are looking for an experienced CNC setter and operator to join them on a permanent basis.You will be responsible for operating their Doosan CNC machines, manufacturing of component parts, within production schedules.Key Duties:
  • Set and operate Doosan CNC machines.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings.
  • Load the correct programmes into the machine.
  • Prepare and position materials and components.
  • Ensure accuracy by working to specific tolerances for each operation.
  • Inspect and measure finished components, recording results on in-process inspection sheets.
  • Report any queries or issues to the supervisor.
  • Take a proactive approach to maintaining personal and team Health & Safety.
  • Be adaptable in duties and undertake other tasks that align with the role.
  • Comply with all company policies.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • You must have experience of setting and operating CNC machines – lathes and/or milling machines
  • Experience producing precision turned or milled components
  • Completed relevant apprenticeship in engineering or a minimum of Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in the relevant field is desirable
  • Use of Doosan machines desirable
