Probe Technical is seeking a full-time Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team near Wellingborough, working a Monday to Friday day shift with a 37.5-hour week.
The role requires a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias and experience in print/packaging, FMCG, or food industries, along with a HNC in electrical or electronic engineering and training in 17th/18th Edition IEE wiring regulations.
Candidates should have experience with PLCs, process controls, and AC/DC and Servo drives, and will be responsible for maintaining machines and site services to minimize downtime and engineering costs.
The salary for this position starts from £40,000, with additional benefits including a 3%/5% pension, 24 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and premium overtime rates.
The Maintenance Electrician role is commutable from Northampton, Daventry, Lutterworth, and Coventry, and candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Probe Technical are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Maintenance Electrician to join an experienced and dedicated Engineering team near Wellingborough on a Monday Friday day shift with a 37.5-hour week. The ideal candidate will provide both mechanical and electrical service to the Production Department in terms of maintaining machines and site services to achieve minimal downtime as well as reduced engineering costs.

Salary from £40,000+
37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday
3% / 5% pension on Auto enrolment
24 days holiday + Bank Holidays
Premium overtime rates

Along with a HNC in electrical or electronic engineering and training in 17th / 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations, or equivalent. You must be a multi-skilled engineer with Electrical bias with either print/packaging / FMCG / food experience. Experience of PLCs (programming and fault-finding), process controls and AC / DC and Servo drives.

Other key duties for the Maintenance Electrician role involve:

Undertake work of any kind as directed by the Engineering Supervisor
Work on both mechanical and electrical plant and carry out installation work.
Carry out planned preventive maintenance to reduce future unplanned downtime.
Respond to unplanned breakdowns, ensuring downtime is minimised.
Undertake facilities maintenance where necessary.
Supervise sub-contractors where necessary.
