Due to continued growth and influx of long term projects we have an immediate  requirement for a highly experienced Lead Test Applications Development Engineer to join our busy and growing business in Northampsonshire. We are looking to open a satellite office where you would work as a TDE and also be involved in the recruitment and growth of a new team. 

Location will be in the Midlands within 50 Miles of Daventry

The role of Test Development Engineer will require you to take responsibility for the design, development of functional test application specifications of both hardware and software to ensure the highest quality test applications.

General Description

Design and develop applications for the functional test of electronic and electrical products. Define the test approach and/or specifications and document the project scope for each project and generate test programmes using LabVIEW and TestStand

Technical Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification in electronic/electrical engineering ideally to degree level with in-depth relevant functional test experience
  • Currently employed in a test development role within an electronic manufacturing environment. Essential
  • Lean leadership, development and mentoring
  • Software design and using languages/tools LabVIEW and Test Stand, to produce functional test programmes for electronic products. 5 years + Essential
  • Experience of electronic hardware design, including use of schematic CAD
  • Previous experience of equipment interfaces (e.g. fixtures), test system architecture and basic electro-mechanical engineering would be an advantage

Due to this growth we are open to candidate location around the Midlands area within a proposed satellite office to grow an additional team.

Currently holds security clearance, or agreeable and eligible to obtain required level of security clearance (UK Passport Holders ONLY)

Able to travel within UK and overseas occasionally
