Position Overview

Located in the vibrant city of Coventry, UK, our client operates a world-class facility dedicated to the production of future bespoke vehicles. They are actively seeking talented Vehicle Build Technicians to join their core team. This role involves working under the guidance of a Senior Assembly Technician within an innovative vehicle development and engineering environment. You will play a critical role in the assembly, testing, and quality control of advanced components and complex sub-assemblies, leading up to the complete build of bespoke vehicles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assemble full vehicles and related sub-assemblies as per the provided build instructions.
  • Adhere to stringent build quality control processes.
  • Fit components to prototype and niche vehicles with precision.
  • Address and resolve build and quality issues alongside the engineering team.
  • Follow all Health and Safety (HAV) protocols in an automotive assembly setting.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001/IATF16949, ISO 14001 (Environmental), and OHSA (Health and Safety) standards.

Education & Experience

  • Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools.
  • An apprentice-trained individual with a Level 2 or 3 Automotive Technician qualification is preferred.
  • Experience in Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), niche vehicle operations, motorsports teams, or an automotive service network is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret workshop manuals and follow basic instructions.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of automotive vehicle assembly and repair.
  • Experience in light fabrication, manufacturing environments, and training colleagues will be considered an advantage.
