Panel Technician – Body/Primer Area

About the Role:

As a Panel Technician in the Body/Primer area, you will play an essential role in building and perfecting vehicle shells using steel and carbon panels. You will be at the forefront of constructing faultless vehicles, which will turn heads as they pass by.

Your role is integral to creating the perfect surface for these exceptional vehicles to shine. You will utilise your skills to build, align, prime, and re-assemble, ensuring every car meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct shells with steel and carbon panels, aligning them to the gap & flush standard, and repairing or reshaping, as necessary.
  • Skim, shape, fill, blend, and re-shape panels to achieve flawless finishes.
  • Complete full priming of cars and panels before reassembling them for the next production phase.
  • Grow gaps, meet flush targets, and perfect punctuation lines and profiling.
  • Work to tight tolerances
  • Work closely within a small team to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently from the carbon team through to the paint team on time and to the highest quality standards.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for automotive excellence and brings:

  • Proven experience in Panel or Bodywork disciplines, particularly with steel and carbon panels.
  • Experience within vehicle restoration would be highly desirable
  • A keen eye for detail and a perfectionist’s approach to gap & flush alignment and surface finishing.

Your Contract & Pay:

Join the team on an ongoing contracting basis, paying £25.00 per hour. This position is offered Inside IR35, and your final Pay Rate will be uplifted to be paid via an Umbrella PAYE Payroll Model.
