We have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and mechanically minded candidate to join Jewson, Daventry as a Tool Hire Workshop Fitter

This role is a full time, permanent position in which the successful candidate will have a 3.5 t Licence This is a varied role dealing with Branch stock and location, solving problems and managing stock and allocations for the customers' requirements.

Our Workshop Fitters are essential within the branch network, you will build relationships within our cluster and understand their wider requirements in order to maximise sales growth. You will be in regular contact with our Branches and therefore you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic Overall customer experience by sourcing and locating required tools for hire. In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

  • You main focus will be to carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop, resolving issues and making ready for rehire
  • Get to know our product lines and services to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values
  • Working with the team to ensure that great relationships are developed with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
  • Use our in-house systems to process and locate tools for hire, organise tool hire collection and delivery
  • Collaborate with the wider network to support Customer requirements and business activities
  • Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth
  • You will support the Workshop Driver by covering their absence and driving 3.5t, you will collect and deliver tools across the cluster for our tool hire departments. You will be instrumental in the streamlined uninterrupted hire service.

As this role has a strong focus within our Tool Hire part of the business, You do require a reasonable level of fitness due to the weight and size of our tools. Industry experience is not essential but some mechanical knowledge would be preferable.

Key Requirements

  • Toll Hire or Mechanical or Electrical repair experience
  • 3.5 tonne licence
  • Good Geographical knowledge of the local area.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
