Are you ready to launch into the intricate world of vehicle sub-assembly? We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Sub-Assembler to join a fantastic team at an industry-leading facility in Daventry. This is anopportunity to work with a team that values precision, safety, and mechanical excellence.

About the Role:

You will play a key role in the Vehicle Build department, assembling and preparing mechanical sub-assemblies and components for integration into our bespoke restorations. This includes the sub-assembly of chassis parts, requiring a keen eye for detail, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a luxury automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical sub-components, including chassis parts, with precision, ensuring seamless integration within the vehicle build process.
  • Work with a variety of hand and power tools to build sub-assemblies to exacting specifications.
  • Inspect components for quality and ensure they meet the high standards expected in luxury vehicle restoration.
  • Follow technical drawings and build instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate closely with vehicle build technicians, engineers, and fabricators to ensure efficient workflow and seamless integration.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Identify and report any defects or discrepancies in parts or assemblies to maintain the highest quality standards.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, automotive restoration, or a similar precision engineering role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with high-end automotive components.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Experience working with hand tools and assembly techniques.
  • A meticulous approach with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a flawless finish.

Hours:

Day Shift: Monday – Thursday: 7.30am – 16.15pm and Friday 7.00am – 15.30pm with the opportunity for weekday and Saturday overtime.
