Mid-Shift Engineer

  • Shift: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £45,575 (increasing after 6-month probation)
  • Location: Daventry
  • Industry: Food Manufacturing

We are seeking a multi-skilled, time-served engineer with experience in the food industry to provide essential engineering support to the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and accurate responses to work requests.
  • Perform inspections and tasks outlined in the Maintenance Plan.
  • Execute maintenance activities and document them on the E-Maint PPM System.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and housekeeping standards, including 5S practices.
  • Oversee utilities operation, control, and maintenance.
  • Record all interventions and observations in line with work instructions.
  • Support and guide external contractors on maintenance and utilities-related activities.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, RCA, 5 Why, and Daily Review meetings.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and motivating production teams in machine inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all Food Safety, Environmental, and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Contribute to small project work as assigned by management.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the site's food safety and quality culture alongside the company's values.
