We're looking to add a day shift Mechanical Engineer with a Field Service or Maintenance background to our experienced and friendly team in Northamptonshire. You'll split your time between planned, scheduled and reactive maintenance and no day will be the same! 聽 BASIC SALARY: Up to 拢45,000 聽 BENEFITS: 路 24 days holiday + Bank holidays, increasing with service. 路 Pension contribution. 路 Overtime available. 路 Cycle to work scheme. 聽 LOCATION: Northampton 聽 COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Rugby, Milton Keynes, Daventry, Wellingborough, Rushden, Banbury, Brackley, Coventry, Bedford, Newport Pagnell, Lutterworth, Southam, Buckingham, Market Harborough, Desborough, Bicester, Long Buckby 聽 WHY APPLY?路 It's a great chance to get involved in loads of projects as well as consolidate your existing mechanical engineering skills. 路 You'll work with an experienced and friendly team and have the autonomy to prioritise your work (unless an emergency crops up). 路 We're a stable company with a long history and an envious reputation, so your career is in safe hands. 聽 JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Food manufacturing 聽 Working on a busy manufacturing site that operates 24/7, this Monday to Friday Mechanical Engineer role will see you involved in a wide range of activities including: 路 75% reaction maintenance / 25% planned & scheduled maintenance. 路 Provide specialised assistance with maintenance repair issues. 路 Inspect machines / components and replace / repair kit where necessary. 路 Manage small projects. 聽 You'll also get involved in new systems integrations, machine upgrades and ensuring everything is operational, from a health and safety perspective. 聽 PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Food manufacturing 聽 You're a Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer. You might be a Field Service Engineer, looking to move to a single site role or a Single Site Maintenance Engineer or Technician. 聽 We would welcome applications from all backgrounds, you could hold a BTEC, C&G or NVQ Level 3 or you may be qualified by experience or have come through the apprenticeship route. 聽 If you have gained your experience the following areas it would be an advantage: 路 Servicing and repairing a diverse range of production plant systems including conveyors, elevators, sieves, grinders, ancillary services, and a variety of process equipment. 路 Experience of flour or feed milling, and medium / heavy industrial plant systems, along with boilers, compressors, and sprinkler systems. 路 Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills. 聽 You'll also have a great work ethic and be happy to get stuck in wherever you're needed. 聽 THE COMPANY:聽 We are an independent family-owned business specialising in the production of agricultural products and the processing of cereals into flour and baked goods.
