Here at Impact we are recruiting for a local business to expand and head up their team of welders. We are looking for people eager to learn and join a growing company with an opportunity to earn good money and head up a small team. As a Welding Inspector, you will be able to weld to an excellent standard, both MIG and TIG with the ability to also teach and develop less experienced welders in the team. Salary: 18.37 per hour

Location: Daventry

Hours: 7am - 17:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7am - 13:00pm on Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and writing of welding procedures and maintenance of records.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal departments on weld procedures.
  • Support NPI welding and product manufacture procedure activity. Carry out welding of jigs and fixtures and initial samples.
  • Training/coaching employees in accordance with welding procedures and assessment/appraisal of welders.
  • Analyse high rate of weld repairs and give guidance for improvement.
  • Responsible for total weld quality throughout the company for manufactured products.
  • Identifying process changes/improvement management of audit system related to weld quality & internal auditing.

Requirements:

  • Working Knowledge of IATF 16949,ISO (phone number removed) & 5817
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
  • CSWIP Certification
  • Experience within a fabrication welding business
  • Self motivated and ability to manage a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
