Year 4 Teacher

We are working with a vibrant primary school, nestled in the heart of Daventry, who are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Year 4 Teacher to join their teamfrom Setpember 2024.

This can be either for the full year, OR they can offer a shorter term contract, either until October 2024 or Christmas 2024. Whatever suits you best.

  • Role: Year 4 Teacher
  • Contract: Full Year OR Short Term (up to you)
  • Hours: Full Time preferred, will consider 4 days a week
  • Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)

INTERVIEWS BEING HELD ON 27TH or 28th August OR Monday 2nd September

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the Year 4 curriculum, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress regularly through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to student development and well-being.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies that promote a safe, respectful, and conducive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably within Year 4.
  • Sound knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and proficiency in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • A passion for fostering a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusivity within the school community.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school's continued success.
