Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Daventry, NN11
Salary: 85-95 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in managing classroom activities, preparing materials, and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra help with learning activities or development.
- Help monitor and manage student behaviour, ensuring classroom rules are upheld and supporting positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Facilitate educational activities under the teacher's guidance, such as reading, writing, or craft projects.
- Assist with students' personal needs, including social, emotional, and physical care.
- Help with tasks like grading, organising resources, or preparing bulletin boards.
- Monitor students during lunch, recess, or field trips, ensuring safety and promoting inclusion.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., teaching assistant qualifications, safeguarding training) are preferred but not always required.
