Primary Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant - Primary

Hours 08.30am - 3.30pm

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant in a mainstream primary school in Daventry, Northamptonshire.

As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process within the school. Your main responsibilities will include:

Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
Providing one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs.
Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Supporting students in their social and emotional development.
Collaborating with the teaching staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Helping to assess students' progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.
Assisting with administrative tasks related to student records and classroom resources.

Requirements:

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
Flexibility to work with different year groups and adapt to varying classroom environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Basic knowledge of classroom technology and the ability to assist students with their educational technology needs.
A relevant qualification in Teaching Assistance or Education is desirable but not essential.
