Business Development Manager
Based Daventry covering the UK/International
Candidates need to hold a UK driving licence
Basic salary £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience, car allowance, OTE and benefits.
My client is looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager with experience of B2B sales, preferably within warehousing and distribution fulfilment.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business whilst also nurturing existing client relationships, and understanding their requirements, willing to go the extra mile to provide an excellent quality service, whilst also growing your accounts.
You will be skilled in client identification, preparing quotations, onboarding, from B2B and Retail Fulfilment, eCommerce to International Fulfilment.
Candidates Skills
- Able to demonstrate of experience of B2B sales, preferably within warehousing and distribution fulfilment.
- Good client qualification, relationship building and closing skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer quotes/contracts, marketing materials and customer specifications.
- Ability to calculate quotations, discounts, interest, commission etc.
- Have excellent communication skills, written and spoken with a strong focus on customer service with practical problem solving skills
- Confident presenting to clients and senior stakeholders
- Proficient user of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience of using CRM software, ideally HubSpot is similar
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions, data, and details in written and/or verbal form.
Duties
- You will establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers, gather and analyse market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine the needs of the customer and entice new business.
- Identify opportunities early in the sales pipeline and deliver business development related presentations, negotiate and close business with identified accounts within closely with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining, and penetrating accounts.
- Follow up all quotations in a timely manner.
- Lead the onboarding programme for all incoming clients ensuring customer satisfaction and retained business.
- Identify full client needs to uncover additional sales opportunities.
- Actively utilise CRM to record all sales activities, ensuring all contact details are accurate, duplicates are removed, updated and all call and visitor interaction is logged
- Provide positive representation to the public, customers, vendors, and all colleagues through close association through networks
- Collaborate closely with all stakeholders to develop technical skills to support the maximisation of sales revenue potential
- Attend, conduct and participate in customer meetings on customer sites
