Teaching Assistant - Full-Time, Ongoing
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)
Start Date: Monday 21st April (early start available for training & handover)

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Daventry on a full-time, ongoing basis. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life while working as part of a collaborative team.



About the Role:

  • Supporting a wheelchair-based pupil alongside an existing TA.
  • Assisting with daily learning activities and ensuring full participation in school life.
  • Carrying out manual handling duties, including assisting with movement, transfers, and personal care.
  • Working in a school with specialist facilities, including hoists and lifts in toilet and classroom areas.
  • Contributing to the child's overall well-being, independence, and development.


Who We're Looking For:

  • Someone with a caring background, such as healthcare, support work, or special educational needs (SEN) experience.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive individual who is willing to learn and support the child's needs.
  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience is beneficial but not essential - full training will be provided.
  • Someone who is comfortable with manual handling (training will be given).
