1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Full Time - Primary EYFS (Reception Pupil)

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Daventry, Northamptonshire. This position involves working closely with a pupil in EYFS - Reception where you will providing crucial support and guidance throughout their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a pupil in Reception (EYFS)
  • Implement personalized strategies and interventions to meet the student's individual educational and behavioural goals.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and adapt resources and materials to support the student's learning.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, promoting the student's engagement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and social interactions between the student and their peers, promoting positive relationships and social integration.
  • Promote the student's independence and self-confidence, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ADHD is desirable
  • A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the student and the school environment.
