JC160 - Tyre Fitter Location – DaventrySalary – £23222 per annumOverview:First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Tyre Fitting Operative to join their team in Daventry. Since 1984, my client has been supplying wheel and tyre assemblies to OEM manufacturers of everything, from wheelbarrows to high performance sport cars.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manual fitment of tyres to wheels rims, using appropriate tools and equipment to mount the tyre, ensuring all child parts are the correct specification to the works order. Inspecting parts prior to fitment. Adding identification labels inside & outside of the assembly for product traceability.
  • Manual inflation of fitted assembly, in line with instruction on Works Order.
  • Balancing of fitted assembly using computerised equipment to ensure proper tyre performance and longevity, adjusting settings to meet customer/manufacturer specifications.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices, ensuring all work meets the quality standards accredited to BS EN ISO. 9001:2015
  • Maintain and calibrate tyre fitting tools and equipment regularly, reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with tyre fitting techniques, new products, and safety standards, supporting the training of new staff members when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, assisting with other tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the facility.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Able to work alone and within a team.
  • The successful induvial will be hands on, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
