Your Role Will Include:

  • Leading lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher

  • Supporting students in delivering engaging and tailored lessons to meet students’ individual needs

  • Provide classroom support to ensure all students are fully engaged and making progress

  • Creating an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere where students feel safe and encouraged

  • Implementing school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management

  • Build strong relationships with students to foster and confidence and a love for learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic, adaptable and passionate about supporting children with SEN

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Experience or understanding of phonics-based learning (Read Write Inc is beneficial)

  • The ability to manage classroom dynamics and adapt quickly to changing situations (experience in teaching is required)

  • A patient, empathetic and committed approach to supporting students with additional needs

  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills in a specialist SEN setting
