We are currently looking for a Head Chef at the incredible Updown Farmhouse in Deal, Kent.
Updown is a multi award winning 17th century luxury Hotel & Restaurant set in a magical former farmstead with acres of beautiful gardens and woodland. You can see us in action here: @updownfarmhouse
Our super experienced, exceptionally talented, and highly competent head chefwill join the senior management team and lead the kitchen to ensure a high standard of execution to deliver consistent, beautiful dishes as part of one of Kents most stunning venues.
Ensuring the highest standards are met, the role has a strong focus on management and operations with a real emphasis on the day to day running of the kitchen. This includes overseeing the whole food operation on site, including breakfast, lunch, dinner in the main restaurant as well as room service and a busy events and group bookings schedule.

Experience and Skills:
- At least two years of head chef experience.
- A team player with strong leadership skills with a passion for learning, development and training junior chefs.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with staff and reporting to the senior management team.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Level 2 food hygiene certificate.

- Excellent financial acumen with a focus on managing purchasing and a consistent GP
