Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics) following the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for Science and achieve academic success.
  • Differentiate lessons to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress, ensuring high educational standards.
  • Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and share best teaching practices.
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • QTS, ECT, or overseas equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to the school community.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
