Financial Controller | Deeside | £60,000 - £70,000

An opportunity has arisen to join a high performing SME based in Cheshire, working closely with the Finance Director, MD and other senior stakeholders. This is a key role to oversee the day to running of the finance departments whilst also manage upwards ensuring a continuation of commercially focussed and detail information being produced in order to aid decision making at a c-suite level.

Main duties include;

  • Overseeing the preparation of financial statements
  • Producing management accounts and presenting financial reports to senior management.
  • Developing and managing the budget process as well as detailed cash flow forecasting.
  • Monitoring performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and insights.
  • Managing cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operations.
  • Implementing cost control measures and identifying areas for cost reduction.
  • Providing financial insights for strategic decision-making and advising on financial strategies.
  • Identifying and managing financial risks.
  • Managing and developing the finance team, providing training and mentorship.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and staying updated on regulatory changes.

Candidate profile;

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
  • Prior staff management experience
  • Proven management accounts experience along with over seeing year end statutory accounts
