Our client is a market leading business offering a diverse range of products, distributing globally. Employing over 500 staff and a turnover of £168m.

Due to further growth we have created a new role for an experienced Systems Accountant to support the business transformation and change. Projects will include non-UK operations although control and management will be from the UK. The Systems Accountant will be responsible for providing effective project financial control and delivering relevant and timely information to other Senior Managers/ Board Members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for all financial issues as part of the Project Delivery team including to provide input on key matters and technical matters and acting as the source of knowledge on tax and accounting issues
  • Manage the integration between finance and operational systems, resolving data discrepancies and maintaining data accuracy
  • Assist with pre contract support to access commerciality and viability of projects prior to approval
  • Validating project authorisations in line with company policies
  • Delivery of effective transaction service including bank compliance, information to authorities, control over funds, supply chain management
  • Collaborate with IT department to ensure alignment of key data initiatives
  • Budgeting, reporting and control of project performance
  • Identification and mitigation of key financial risks

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A recognised accountancy qualification along with proven experience in a similar role
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Organised with strong administrative skills
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of working on non-UK projects
  • A good understanding of Infor M3 would be an advantage

Salary is negotiable depending on experience + 25 days holiday and your birthday off. Life Insurance, Pension,

Hybrid/remote working could be considered for the ideal candidate with a solid background in Infor M3.
