Job Overview
Hey there! We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our client's team. You'll be a key player in helping our Financial Controller with various financial tasks and making sure our records are spot-on. If you're good with Xero and know your way around accounts processes, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
- Handle accounts payable, making sure purchase orders and invoices are processed on time.
- Enter accurate info into Xero.
- Reconcile bank statements on Xero and ensure all transactions are correctly receipted.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to sort out any discrepancies and answer accounts-related questions.
- Check weekly timesheets against van trackers and sign-in sheets to ensure sub-contractors get paid accurately.
- Book accommodation when needed.
- Provide admin support to the team as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as an accounts assistant or in a similar role is a plus.
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial principles.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
