SUMMARY:

Role will include the following, loading, and unloading panels from machines, cleaning and wrapping of products and general housekeeping, assist factory operations and while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to carry out ongoing manual work, and upon occasions lift goods up to 25kg. Under general supervision, this position works within a team to ensure work is carried out in a timely manner. Meeting all company and departmental standards and guidelines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Follow and promote safe work practices.
  • Report all hazards, unsafe acts, and conditions immediately to your manager.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and always follow health and safety protocols.
  • Wear proper PPE as required.
  • Assists with loading and unloading of material from work centers.
  • Assists with loading of company vans for site deliveries in the United Kingdom.
  • Assist with machine set up.
  • Inspects quality of material received to verify compliance with quality standards and documents findings as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Maintains production quality standards.
  • Participates in projects, charter teams or events to meet the stated goals and budget.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the factory teams when required.
  • Participate and submit new and improved work methods in alignment with the Suggested Method Improvement program.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

For successful job performance, an individual must be capable of carrying out each essential duty satisfactorily and independently. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • GCSEs or equivalent required in Maths and English
  • A good level of written and spoken English.
  • 2 years Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Familiar with manufacturing measurement tools, hand tools, etc.
  • Displays good interpersonal skills and works well with others in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and documentation skills
  • Must have knowledge of shop floor safety practices
  • Utilizes sound judgment and decision- making skills
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Be able to multitask, problem-solve and can work towards deadlines.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and work alone to complete tasks.
  • Must possess working knowledge of MS Office and understand basic functions
  • Valid Driving UK Licence (ideally but not essential)
  • FLT Licence
  • Demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm.
  • Adaptable and open to change
  • Ability to work in a very physically active role


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to communicate clearly and effectively to management and team members.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to carry out ongoing manual work, and upon occasions lift goods up to 25kg. Required to read and visually observe with close vision, distance vision and colour vision.
