Melbreck Technical are working with a world-leading designer and manufacturer of special-purpose equipment that is used in multiple industries.
Due to planned growth within their technical manufacturing team, they are looking to hire a quality engineer to join them ASAP.

Quality Engineer Role Overview:
You will be helping to implement and maintain the QA systems of the company to ensure their output conforms to written specifications and procedures.
The business prides itself on its ability to continuously improve, and you will be helping a cross-functional team in their CI and Lean endeavours.

Quality Engineer Role Responsibilities:
Help in the implementation and maintenance of the QMS to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Assist in the management of all aspects of NPI and NPD.
Lead programmes to assess quality performance (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods.
Develop, maintain and improve customer relationships.
Act as a point of contact for statutory, regulatory and certification bodies.
Leading the implementation of Statistical Process.
Apply continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas of production, leading kaizen events and advising personnel.

Quality Engineer Candidate Requirements:
Internal Auditor ISO 9001 - preferable
Good working knowledge and experience of using problem-solving techniques: 8D, A3, Ishikawa, 5 Whys etc.
A Six Sigma qualification is a distinct advantage.
Three years of experience in Quality Assurance or similar role.


Quality Engineer Hours and Benefits:
37.5 hours Monday to Friday with Friday being a half day
10% Bonus
25 Days holiday plus bank holidays
