CSS are developing technology to produce low carbon hydrogen and are looking to grow their operations team. You will be working within the operations team in the development of biomass and prepared waste to hydrogen. You will be working within the operations team, assisting with fuel preparation, plant/gasifier operations, undertaking plant checks, optimising plant performance and carrying out minor maintenance tasks. As part of our current government funded project we are required to complete a 1,000 hours trial which will involve 24/7 operation of the gasification system, this therefore includes night shifts and some weekends, which will be paid accordingly.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Safe operations of the gasification plant
- Monitoring and optimisation of the gasification plant
- Undertaking plant checks/inspection routines
- Supporting project and maintenance activities where requested
- Support feedstock management and transfer processes
- Production and maintenance of plant records
- Adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures/processes
- Promoting a positive safe working culture
- Focus on good housekeeping at all times
Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic understanding of process plant operations
- Good Health and Safety understanding
- Good communication skills
- IT literate (MS Office)
Education, Qualifications and Technical Skills:
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent
- Plant Operations experience
- Basic engineering understanding
- Basic maintenance understanding
- HMI (local controls understanding)
