We are seeking a CAD Technician to join an well established, yet innovative manufacturing company delivering bespoke units for commercial buildings. This role is permanent and fully office based in Deeside working from 8.30am-5pm. It is offering a salary between £29,500 - £38,000 per annum dependent on experience plus twice yearly appraisals with salary reviews!As a CAD Technician you will be working with 4 others in the Project Team to provide a detailed layouts drafting service for customer orders using 2D & 3D software applications. Provide manufacturing drawings, with hardware pick lists, for manufacturing, warehouse, and installation purposes. Your duties will include:
  • Prepare accurate drawings from architectural plans
  • Create drawings by utilizing AutoCAD 2D or Inventor 3D software
  • Create material cut lists based on released project area, room phase or level
  • Print manufacturing drawings for the installation team 
  • Design and draw custom details in coordination with Technical Manager/Supervisor
  • Maintain all network stored project information within the Enterprise structure.
  • Create remedial and additional material requests 
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of design-drafting standards and practices, developing drawings with appropriate design criteria and DDA/ADA requirements with minimal supervision
  • Produce O&M manuals
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Relevant design-based degree preferable but not necessarily or 2-5 years’ industry experience within a CAD Technician role or similar
  • Basic working knowledge of Autodesk Autocad and/ or Inventor.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems using sound judgement and analytical skills.
  • Must have the ability to interpret notes, sketches, specifications, architectural blueprints into manufacturing drawings for installation purposes
