Job Title: Project Engineer - Food Manufacturing Location: Deeside Job Type: Contract Salary: Competitive (Discussed on first call)Reports To: Engineering Project Manager Project Engineer Job Overview: This role involves overseeing small capital investment projects with the support of the Project Manager, ensuring alignment with business strategy and responsible fund allocation. It also includes assisting with contractor management and maintaining the H&S file for larger projects.Project Engineer Job Responsibilities: 路Define project scope, objectives, and specifications for tender submissions. 路Manage the tendering process, including contract negotiations and terms & conditions. 路Oversee project budgets, timelines, and capital submissions, working with cross-functional teams. 路Identify and address project risks, including scheduling conflicts. 路Review and approve designs to ensure compliance with safety and food industry regulations. 路Assess and approve RAMS before work begins on-site. 路Supervise on-site activities, issue work permits and manage high-risk tasks in line with legal and company policies. 路Maintain CDM health & safety documentation and conduct contractor inductions. 路Perform health & safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance. 路Ensure successful project completion through effective stakeholder management and communication. Project Engineer Required Attributes: 路Engineering qualification (Degree or equivalent - HND, HVC etc). 路Relevant safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, FAAW, IOSH). 路Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quickly understand business processes and technical needs. 路Proficient in MS Office and standard engineering tools. 路Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
