Job Title: H&S Officer
Location: Deeside, Cheshire
Job Type: Contract, site based (Hourly Rate)
Working Hours: Weekdays - 7:30am - 7pm, Saturday: 7:30am - 4pm (1.5x Rate on Saturdays)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of H&S policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant H&S legislation and industry standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing reports and recommendations.
- Support delivery of H&S training.
- Collaborate with different departments to promote a safe working environment.
- Keep up to date with new H&S regulations and industry best practices.
- Maintain records of inspections, audits, and safety compliance reports.
- Support the development of emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Occupational H&S, Environmental Science, or a related field
- [NEBOSH/IOSH/] certification (or equivalent) preferred
- Experience in a H&S advisory role
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and ability to work with multiple contractors
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and audits effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in industrial construction.
- Ability to work with contractors and other key members of staff.
- Up to date CSCS card
