Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Flintshire. The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that production machinery is maintained and repaired according to operational needs, minimising downtime, and maintaining the overall functionality of the equipment. The role will also include facility upkeep and supporting the installation of new equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machines based on production priorities.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks as a Maintenance Fitter to ensure minimal downtime and keep the production machinery operating efficiently.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities .
  • Install new machinery and equipment as required, ensuring it meets production specifications.
  • As a Maintenance Fitter, you will also assist with maintaining the building's infrastructure, including fixtures, fittings, and support equipment.
  • Install structures such as barriers and racking as needed, supporting operational efficiency.
  • Identify and source necessary spare parts and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, ensuring safe working practices are implemented by the Maintenance Fitter.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Essential Qualifications: City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in a relevant maintenance field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in industrial settings.
    • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, including skills in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using a range of maintenance tools and equipment necessary for repairs and installations.
  • Other Skills:
    • Strong ability to work independently and use initiative.
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
