1. **Inspection & Testing**

- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components (e.g., pipes, valves, pumps, structural parts).

- Conduct **Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)** methods like **Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT)**.

- Verify material certifications (e.g., EN (phone number removed).1/3.2) and compliance with **BS, EN, ISO, ASME, or API standards**.

2. **Documentation & Compliance**

- Maintain **Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)** and **Quality Control Plans (QCPs)**.

- Ensure compliance with **UKCA/CE marking**, **Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER)**, **PED (Pressure Equipment Directive)**, and other regulatory requirements.

- Prepare **Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)**, **Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)**, and **Welder Qualification Tests (WQT)**.

3. **Welding & Fabrication QC**

- Monitor welding processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, Stick, Submerged Arc Welding).

- Check weld integrity, alignment, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT).

- Verify **Welding Inspection Records (WIRs)** and **Welding Data Sheets (WDS)**.

4. **Supplier & Vendor Quality Assurance**

- Conduct **Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)** and **Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)**.

- Review supplier documentation (Material Test Certificates, Mill Certificates).

- Perform **source inspections** at vendor facilities.

5. **Defect Management & Corrective Actions**

- Identify non-conformities (NCRs) and raise **Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)**.

- Work with production teams to implement **Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)**.

- Ensure rework/rejection of defective parts.

6. **Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance**

- Follow **COSHH, LOLER, PUWER** regulations in the UK.

- Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment.

7. **Audits & Continuous Improvement**

- Conduct internal/external quality audits (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).

- Implement Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma principles for process improvement.

### **Required Qualifications & Skills**

- **Certifications**:

- **CSWIP (Certified Welding Inspector) / PCN Level 2 (NDT)** (for welding/NDT roles).

- **ISO 9001 Lead Auditor** (for QA roles).

- **Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering** or relevant apprenticeship.

- **Experience**:

- Knowledge of **CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)** and **CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)**.

- Familiarity with **Quality Management Systems (QMS)**.

- **Soft Skills**:

- Attention to detail, problem-solving, report writing, and communication.
