Labour Hire arelooking for an experienced ELECTRICAL PROCUREMENT ENGINEER for a well-established company in SHOTTON, DEESIDE.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a 4-6 year project at Shotton Paper Mill.

About You:

  • Methodical and diligent in approach to work.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with an aptitude for solving problems.
  • Proactive and flexible attitude.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Good attendance and timekeeping.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in this role
  • Preferably with knowledge of UK Market
  • CSCS card required

About the Role:

  • Monday-Friday - 45 hours per week (potential for weekend work)
  • 7am - 5:30pm
  • Responsible for end-to-end procurement, including tendering, sourcing, and supplier / contract management,
  • Identify and put into effect the measures by analysing the necessary risks and opportunities for reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO),
  • Analyse supplier and subcontractor offers and interpret the most appropriate purchasing goal,
  • Carry out negotiations with suppliers, coordinate the local contracts with the Project Manager, to obtain approval for contracts from the Main Office Contracts and Procurement Departments
  • Creating new material alternatives and checking the usability of these materials in the project with the Technical Office Department,
  • Deliver on time the orders of materials needed by the construction site with making sure the material must be quality approved,
  • Coordinate and execute logistics and imports process with Head Office Procurement Department
  • Continually track the supply market, keeping abreast of developments, trends, risks, and opportunities, leading the continual engagement with existing and potential suppliers and ahead of external market factors.
  • Check the warehouse activities (consumables, goods receipt, transfer)
  • Prepare related procurement reports/presentation.
  • Start: Subject to interview
