HSE Coordinator

We are working on behalf of a top employer in the world of FMCG, seeking a dedicated HSE Coordinator to join their team and are looking for someone with a balance of their Health and Safety qualifications, along with some practical work experience. This role involves assisting with the management and improvement of procedures and documents in line with relevant management standards, implementing control standards, and developing a culture of safety and compliance across the site.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with the management and improvement of HSE procedures and documents.
  • Support the identification and development of safe working practices alongside managers.
  • Conduct various assessments such as Risk Assessments, COSHH, DSE, and others.
  • Support the HSE Manager in the development and rollout of training programs.
  • Deliver health and safety inductions to all new employees.
  • Engage with employees to enhance the culture of safety and compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental permits and legislation.
  • Keep hazard identification and risk assessments up to date.
  • Produce and manage accurate HSE data for management communication.
  • Implement and monitor the site auditing schedule, ensuring findings are addressed and communicated effectively.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of accident and environmental impact prevention strategies.
  • Support the QSHE Manager in maintaining and updating HSE performance data and strategy development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Third level qualification in a relevant HSE discipline.
  • Proven experience in a HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive HSE culture.
  • Motivated team player with the ability to interface at all levels.
