Job Specification

Position: HSE Manager

Location: Flintshire

Hours: Monday - Friday

Salary: £50,000-£55,000p/a

HR GO recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager with previous experience in manufacturing or assembly. You will also assist other sites within the UK with Health and Safety compliance.

Duties:

  • Maintain and improve all areas of the business systems to ISO14001 and ISO 45001 in line with the Global Corporate Management system requirements, including training on any new updates.
  • Develop, manage and lead the integrated 3-year internal audit program, including the planning, monitoring, and communication of results to the management team. Act as lead for external certification audits to management system standards.
  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental objectives, devising and implementing improvement plans, and driving actions to closure, including the management of the Compliance PFUS.
  • Regular reporting of KPIs and EHS management system performance to be submitted to the Plant Manager, as required by internal and external reporting arrangements.
  • Continuously promote a culture that involves worker participation and enhances the EHS management system performance.
  • Manage Hazard, Near Miss and accident reporting - responsible for data capture, analysis, record keeping - investigations to root cause and identification of robust corrective actions to improve business performance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified internal auditor ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (Within last 3 years)
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Lead Auditor Status
  • NVQ or equivalent in Environmental Management
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Experience in implementing & maintaining management systems in line with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
  • Knowledge of UK legal requirements
