Automation Engineer

Shotton

£55,000 - £60,000 + Overtime (£70K OTE) + Quarterly Bonus + Pension + Retail Discounts + Annual Pay Review + Gym Membership

A great opportunity has arisen for an automation engineer to join a highly skilled team in a company who are globally recognised for their loss prevention strategies. Enjoy regular specialist training on existing and emerging technologies within the automation space. This position will suit those seeking investment and development to become a specialist within automation.

My client has a strong global presence and they dominate their sector as the market leader in the UK. Through continued growth they require an automation engineer to come in and continue to optimise planned downtime. A great opportunity to develop in a specialist environment.

Your Duties:

* Providing specialist engineering support to the manufacturing production lines.

* Responding to plant breakdowns, diagnosing faults to minimise downtime

* Carrying out design, software modifications and improvements to the plant equipment

* Design and implementation of PLC code and commissioning support for major line improvements

* 4 on 4 off + 5 x 18 day breaks yearly

Your Experience:

* Backgrounds from manufacturing/automation or similar

* Experience working with Allen Bradley Control/CompactLogix/Siemens S7 PLCs

* Experience of AC/DC inverter drives, fault finding, commissioning and programming

* Understanding of relay logic and the ability to fault find from engineering drawings and control loop diagrams

* SCADA and HMI development experience
