About the Company
Our client is a leading OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specializing in food processing machinery. They provide cutting-edge capital equipment solutions for slicing, filling, and depositing processes at food production sites worldwide. Their engineering expertise and customer-first approach have earned them a reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
The Role
We are looking for a Service/Installation Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join their skilled team. This is a multi-skilled engineering position that combines electrical and mechanical responsibilities. The role involves global travel, with candidates potentially staying away from home for up to 1–2 weeks at a time for installations, as well as working on UK-based projects and providing workshop support during quieter periods.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain capital equipment in food processing environments globally.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
- Work on 3-phase machinery and perform PLC fault-finding (HMI inputs/outputs).
- Handle wiring and rewiring tasks.
- Service and repair gearboxes, motors, pneumatics, belts, and conveyors.
- Work with servo drives and VFD drives.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure successful equipment installation and operation.

Essential Requirements:
- A multi-skilled engineering background with exposure to capital equipment.
- Electrical qualifications (any formal certification is acceptable).
- Understanding of PLC systems and fault-finding processes.
- Willingness to travel internationally and stay away from home for extended periods.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working on food processing machinery or similar capital equipment.
- Hands-on knowledge of servo drives, VFD drives, and pneumatics.
- Field service experience (not essential)
