Technical Specialist – LCMS/GCMS QQQDeesidePermanent Our client is looking for a Technical Specialist to support the Organic Laboratory Manager.Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate new methods in accordance with quality procedures
  • Completion of validation statement/PDS to collate, input and check all data
  • Perform non routine testing supporting clients with their requirements.
  • Provide technical training for staff involved with method development and implementation, both during the validation and when the method passes into routine production. 
  • Organise, evaluate, install and validate new instruments
  • Review and write analytical methods and aid continuous improvement
  • Organise and perform non-routine analytical work, solve technical problems, and manage method validation with the appropriate section heads/managers.
  • Provide technical support to internal staff, external clients, and staff at other sites
  • Be conversant with the company Quality procedures.
  • Investigate atypical results and quality system failures raised by clients or internal/external audits
Requirements:
  • Hold a BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge and experience of complex laboratory equipment and processes, LCQQQ. GCQQQ, GCMS, GCGC analysis and extraction
  • Proven experience of working in a laboratory is essential - preferably within the Environmental industry.
  • Experience of method development and instrument implementation is also essential
