About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This role will focus on the fit-out of a warehouse in Deeside, and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing cost management, project budgets, and financial reporting throughout the construction process. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant project with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of cost control for the warehouse fit-out project, ensuring that costs are kept within the budget.
  • Prepare, review, and monitor project budgets, estimates, and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct cost analysis, procurement, and tender evaluations for various trades.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to track project progress and financial performance.
  • Review and negotiate contract variations, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit monthly valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
  • Assist in resolving any disputes and managing contractual claims.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, ideally with fit-out experience.
  • Must have post contract experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying practices, cost planning, and budget control.
  • Experience working with warehouse or industrial projects is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
