Join a trusted provider of comprehensive facilities management solutions. We are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to support our finance operations and contribute to our growth. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process supplier invoices, payments, and customer receipts.
    • Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies.
    • Generate and send client invoices.
  • Bank Reconciliations:
    • Reconcile bank statements against internal records.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Payroll Support:
    • Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
    • Ensure employee expense claims are accurate and authorized.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
    • Assist in creating financial reports and summaries for management.
  • Compliance and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
    • Assist with VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
  • General Administrative Support:
    • Respond to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Contribute to process improvements within the finance function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar finance or accounts role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Xero) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desirable:
    • AAT qualification or working towards a similar financial qualification.
    • Experience in the facilities management or service industry.
    • Familiarity with payroll systems and processes.
