Manpower is recruiting a Housing Officer on behalf of our client.

Location: North Wales

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 5.00 pm

The Role

The Housing Officer is responsible for providing direct support and management to Service Users (SU's) within an allocated location. Working to an assigned own case load, conducting welfare visits and property inspection, the Housing Officer maintains accurate records, keeps systems up to date and adheres to company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Service User (SU):

  • Manage a caseload of around 200-250 service users
  • Conduct monthly visits, addressing incidents, SU issues, and absconders.
  • Ensure timely relocation or transport of SU's as required.
  • Maintain health and safety standards for SUs.
  • Conduct regular welfare checks.

Managing a Property Portfolio:

  • Oversee property maintenance, conducting monthly inspections.
  • Ensure inventory procedures are followed for property items.
  • Make recommendations for relocations and termination of properties.
  • Prepare properties for re-occupation after SU's move on.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety guidelines.

Connect and Collaborate:

  • Work closely with the team, attending meetings as required.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to team members.
  • Collaborate with local support agencies and stakeholders.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience working in housing or an assisted living role
  • Full UK Driving License and own vehicle
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience in a busy environment, managing competing demands
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience of people management
  • Solution-focused with a strong customer service mindset
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate meetings
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional phone manner
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and good listener
