Our client, a world-leading manufacturer, is seeking a skilled fitter with manual machining experience in a highly regulated industry.
The position offers a pay range of $16.97 to $20.16 per hour, with overtime available at 1.5x pay.
Candidates should be able to work independently and have experience reading complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities include fitting, assembly, and testing of various assemblies, ranging from simple tooling to complex mechanical assemblies with hydraulic systems.
Applicants should have a background in manual machining and mechanical assembly, with experience working to tight tolerances and following procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and be able to read and understand complex engineering drawings and specifications.
The role will entail the fitting, assembly and testing of a wide array of assemblies. The scope of work will cover relatively straightforward tooling through to complex mechanical assemblies with associated hydraulic systems.
The size of projects will vary from items which can be handled manually up to and including larger assemblies which require specialised lifting and handling equipment.
Working closely with the Project Engineering team, you will be responsible for meeting the customer requirements as defined by their specification and testing requirements.

Key Skills

Manual machining and mechanical assembly experience.
Experience of working with a wide range of assemblies in size and weight.
Experience of working to tight tolerances.
Understanding of the need to work to procedures and specifications.
